Jacob Bentley, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. A clinical psychologist by profession, he is board certified in the specialty of rehabilitation psychology with expertise in psychosocial aspects of disability. His research interests focus on trauma, injury, and disability within marginalized including refugees and asylum seekers in the United States. He is particularly interested in the development and implementation of community-based interventions. His publications in this topic area span include peer-reviewed research articles, book chapters, commentaries and policy briefs. He serves as a member of the Refugee Empowerment Task Force within the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
